Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
Week of 05-16 through 05-22-2017
his week’s photo prompt is provided by loniangraphics. Thank you for our photo prompt!
WHO AM I
I slowly opened my eyes, looked around and could see tubes leading from a hanging bag down to my arms.
A machine near my head broke the silence in the room every few seconds.
A woman dressed in white walked into the room and spoke to me. She called me Anna.
I tried to think of my name, but nothing came to mind! Could I be Anna?
A man walked in dressed in white also. He told me I had come in contact with an unusual plant, white, and very poisonous.
I learned that I was in a hospital, the woman in white was a nurse, and the man was a doctor.
The doctor told me my memory had been profoundly affected and there would be a lot of things I could not remember.
He did, however, assure me that within a few days, my memories would be restored.

I fear for Anna? I hope that she gets the right memories back.

Yes, it would be a very hard thing to live with if there were no memories, but even worse, if there were only bad ones!
