Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
Week of 11-08 through 11-14-2016
Another Day
The moment was extremely tense.
Hours and hours of practice became my weekly schedule. After all, the tournament was the most popular event of the year. It would last for several days.
However, the moment had come for me to prove how great a player I had become, yet, I could not do my best that day, even though I knew many people were counting on me.
Then, just as I was about to make another move, a beautiful white dove flew over the board and snatched up the timer.
People were running in all directions with hopes of catching the bird and it’s treasured timer.
I laughed in relief, and knew I had been given another day to prove myself.

Do you suppose that white dove was the hand of God? Maybe He wanted him to have an extra day! Great story, Jessie. Luck (or the hand of God) was certainly on his side that day!

Absolutely! There are all kinds of miracles…big and small and most not recognized as such. Some things just happen by chance, and some are happening with some special help. Thank you, Joy, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

I believe you are right. It probably has never happened before. 😊 anything is possible, but perhaps not always provable.
