DAY # 14 …If you could go anywhere in the world.
I would go to Tokyo, Japan with my husband to visit our son who recently moved there. The hope, is to go within the next three years.
I want to take the Bullet Train to see Mt. Fuji and Lake Ashi.
I would go to the Ginza Shopping District, the Meiji Shrine, Asakura Temple and take the Tokyo Bay Cruise.
Other interest are Nikko National Park, Tokyo Studio Ghibli Museum, and go on the Tokyo Asakusa Rickshaw Tour.
Of course, during these outings, experience the culture and food.
I do not care to have my food “eyeballing” me!
I plan to take numerous photos and it would be great to take the Photo Tour of Architecture and Streets.
The one thing that does not interest me is the Tour of Sumo Morning Practice.

THE 30 DAY ART CHALLENGE
DAY #12 ….a favorite childhood toy.
My favorite was a Tiny Tears doll.
I can recall watching my friend sitting on a glider each day while she used a little comb to comb her Tiny Tears doll’s hair, curl by curl.
I had asked for a Tiny Tears doll for Christmas and I received my wish after much pleading. However, I did not know they not only came with curly hair, but some had painted hair.
Much to my disappointment, I received the kind with painted hair. My only consolation was the doll had beautiful blue eyes which blinked, drank a bottle and wet.
Now, sixty-five years later, I still have my Tiny Tears doll. She has aged. The pipe to her mouth has come unglued so she can no longer drink a bottle and wet, and her eyes still blink, however, they are no longer a beautiful blue.
Her other ailment is her arms and legs that have dried out and cracked. She is also missing a forefinger.
I played nurse and put tape on her arms and legs, then dressed her in a new outfit.

The Fight
The crowd was screaming for Big Joe to enter the boxing ring. They knew he would not disappoint them.
His opponent was unknown to most and entered the ring somewhat timidly.
The crowd began to celebrate Joe’s victory. They screamed even louder.
The bell rang, the fight began and within seconds, Joe was out cold, and his opponent was happy to disappoint the crowd!

Blessed
“Good morning dad, here’s the morning paper, Janis said as she walked over to the window and began to close it.”
“Janis! Please do not close the window.”
“But, those kids are playing ball again and making a lot of noise. Don’t you want peace and quiet?”
“I am unable to leave this room, or get out of this bed, however, I can enjoy the noise coming from those youngsters and watching them have fun.”
“It’s great they have a safe place to play. They are not on the streets, or destroying anything and they are having a good time.”
They fill my mornings with joy and for that, I am so blessed. It’s a wonderful way to start my day.”

JAPAN
Tokyo
Our son recently moved to Japan, about an hour from Tokyo. He will be living there between three and five years and we would love to visit during this time.
He was stationed there for three years when he was in the army (we never were able to visit during that time) and he loved it, made a lot of friends, and thought seriously about living there when he got out of the army. Now, many, many years later he is once again living there, but working as a civilian in a civil service job. He is also working on the same military base with a few of the people he use to work with.
You never know where the journey your life will take you.

DAY # 9 ….What ‘s your favorite movie?
THE SOUND OF MUSIC…is one of my all time favorite musical drama’s.
Pictures are courtesy of Pixabay.
It is so heartwarming and I like movies that are based on a real life story.
The music is outstanding and the people playing the parts were well suited for them. The scenery of Salzbarz is fantastic.
I love this movie so mush, I’ve watched it numerous times over the years.
Favorite animated movie….THE LION KING
Sketched by me 08-2016
A great movie with family drama.
It’s emotional and funny, and I loved the songs. They were very inspiring.
The landscapes are quite remarkable as well.
It is a wonderful animation and a great movie for all ages.
