LETTER
My eyes widened in surprise as Cora handed me the letter.
I opened the envelope with shaking hands. Beads of sweat dotted my forehead.
Mr. Parker, the investigator, had worked so hard and tirelessly to find the answer.
Stinging, my eyes flooded with tears as I began to read the letter. The search of over twenty years had finally come to an end.
My mother had finally been located and now she was anxiously looking forward to seeing me again.
There are so many questions I need to ask her, now I will get the answers to all of them.

I cannot imagine how emotional that would be, either as the letter writer or recipient. I’m sure for many it is an answered prayer.
(Thanks for joining in the Challenge. I hope to see you back again soon.)
