Best Friends

“Cassie said, “Bethany when are you moving into your new apartment?”

“Oh!  I’m still deciding what to do.”

Carla, Rose, and Cassie saw a painting of an old lantern and brush laying on the table and asked what she was going to do with it.

Bethany said, “I don’t know yet.”

Carla looked at Rose and Cassie and said, “didn’t you bring a shovel to bury it?”

Everyone laughed.

Bethany discovered the painting was very valuable, so she had a replica of it made and sold the original.

A month later, she picked up her friends and drove to her new house.

They were so surprised and really happy for her and as they were about to enter her room she called “special”,  there was the painting of the old lantern and brush they had seen at her apartment hanging on the door.

Under the painting was a little shovel shaped banner with the words…..Best Friends Always Help You Shovel Yourself Through Life.

The room was beautifully decorated and they saw several items that her friends had given her over the years.
