Remarkable Experience

“Sadie, what was one of your most remarkable experiences?”  Shelby asked.

“Oh! Without a doubt, it was my first date with Monroe!”

“Tell me about it.”

“I wanted everything  perfect that night and when my shoe strap came loose, he was right there to fix it and he handled my awkward situation perfectly.”

“He was gentle in adjusting the strap, and seemed quite concerned that I may have fallen and injured myself.”

“I was thinking the evening started off badly, but he proved me wrong.”

“The entire night was unbelievable!  We talked and laughed, danced, ate a very delicious meal and he was a complete gentleman the entire evening.”

“When he took me home, he walked me to my front door, gave me a gentle kiss and handed me a red rose. He told me he wished all his dates could be as wonderful as the one we had.”

“We got married four months later and have been very happy for thirty years now.”

  1. Sounds like a happy love story. And Monroe played his cards right, not to mention he seemed genuinely nice. Great write Jessie.
