Forever Love

I remember the first time you took me down this river in your boat.

We stopped for lunch at the Waterfront Restaurant and had our favorite shrimp salad.

On our way back, you stopped the boat, we watched the most beautiful sunset, and you told me I was your forever love.  Then, you asked me to marry you.

Your are my forever love, and I miss you so much.

I sit by this window each night and as I watch our sunset, I feel a sense of comfort because I know we will be together again one day.

  1. I enjoyed the happier turn this took at the very end. I liked the wonderful memory your main character shares of her husband but I also liked that she knows they’ll be together again soon. No doubt in her mind, she knows. Great piece Jessie!
