SIX SENTENCE STORY February 4, 2016
CHARGE
“Gunther, you take your team over to the south side of the field, ” George said.
“Sargent, your team will be on the north side of the field.”
“Now, when I yell charge, everyone marches forward and attacks.”
“The team that cuts open their animal first will win.”
“Get ready, get set, CHARGE!”
The teams raced toward their designated animal and began tearing it apart with as many cuts as they could make, but there was, of course, only one winner in the game of pinata, and that was Sargent’s team.

A few years ago when the family had summer holidays together preparing a pinata was my job and getting the children to each have a go at bursting it to dash in for the candy was a highlight of our time together. Thanks for that memory Jessie.

Your very welcome! They can be a lot of fun…and harder to burst open than one realizes.

Phew. I’m so glad it was a pinata and not a real animal. You had me going there for awhile.

No, I could never do that…I love animals! I don’t even think I could write a horror story about them. Glad you were surprised at the ending. 🙂

A pinata is a fun thing, and i like the idea of two of them, with teams trying to be the first to open theirs.

That was a great twist – my face registered some disgust before I realised what you’d done, you sneaky thing! 🙂
