Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers…..https://flashfictionforaspiringwriters.wordpress.com/2015/12/29/fffaw-week-of-12-29-2015/
Week of 12-29 through 01-04-2016
This is a flash fiction challenge (stories in 100-175 words or less) and each story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Therefore, no serial (continuation) stories. They become too complicated for our readers.
Our photo prompt has been provided by Sonya, with the blog, “Only 100 Words.” Thank you Sonya!
GREEN KISS OF LOVE
Many years ago there was a town known as Hateville, but the real name was Embrace because of all the love and kindness that use to exist throughout the town.
Things changed and there were robberies and murder every day.
Mayor, Tom Solution, met with ingenious engineers to develop something that could counteract the problem.
They developed the Green Kiss Of Love which towered over the town.
When someone tried to do anyone harm, the Green Kiss Of Love sent out waves of unconditional love to them. The acts of hatefulness ended.
The town became known as Embrace once again.

Fabulous story. Great choice of names and a lovely sentiment. I do wish it could be real. I guess we’ll just have to become beacons ourselves 🙂

It sounds idealic but I’m not sure about the green kiss.. To me it is in a way controlling people and not allowing them to think for themselves. Just my thought but interesting and well written story.

Thank you! Yes, in one sense it would be controlling, sending out unconditional love to people that are not very loving and are into making life miserable for someone else, however, I guess you could say they could refuse this unconditional love ..if they cared to fight off that love and some would do it, but the odds are probably very small, which in itself could create a better world.

lol. Hmmm… It’s an interesting idea. Trying to wrap my mind around it. I’ll think about it. Great story. If it makes people think it’s definitely great.

Many towns could do with such a tower I think. With a name like “Tom Solution” the pressure was on to solve this problem!
