SUNDAY PHOTO FICTION …. December 6, 2015

Sunday Photo Fiction is a weekly writing challenge where a photo is used as a prompt for a piece of fiction using around 200 words. The piece doesn’t have to centre around exactly what the photo is, it can be just used as a basis for a story.

ZINGER

Charlie and Tom were standing by the fence talking when Charlie’s horse, Zinger, started playing around the donkey and laughing.

Tom smiled, “is your horse laughing?”

“Yes, he does that a lot, especially when he’s with Dunkin.”

“Where did the name Dunkin come from?”

“Oh! He just loves donuts, so I named him Dunkin.”

“After Dunkin Donuts?”

“Sure, it fits him perfect.”

“Are you entering your laughing horse in the race tomorrow?”

“Yes, I can’t let a winner stay home on a race day!”

Zinger was way behind all the other horses in the race and laughing, so Tom felt confident that his horse, Bossco , would win the race.

Then, Zinger took off like a firecracker was behind him, passed all the other horses, and crossed the finish line.  He continued to laugh and the crowd went wild with clapping and laughter.
