SIX SENTENCE STORIES December 3, 2015
Cue word…..Lie
SPECIAL
“Rob, I thought you were my friend, ” Max said.
Friends do not lie for a friend that has stolen merchandise,” Rob replied.
“Well, I’m not going to admit stealing the diamonds and you have no proof that I did.”
“Your wrong, Max, I have a camera in these special sunglasses that you borrowed from me and you took a video of yourself stealing, simply by your eye movement.”
Max decided to admit to the police that he had stolen the diamonds, so he could get a lesser sentence.
Rob gave Max the sunglasses then told him that the glasses were not special because they are not capable of taking a video and he left the room with Max screaming, “you’re a liar, Rob!”

Aww, I was wanting a pair of those glasses!

Yes, I would too! I have a real pair that allows me to see the person behind me (obtained these back in the day when I sold self-defense items on the internet) , but no “Special glasses!” 🙂

This was great! I love how you wove the concept of lies through the story, and I never cease to be amazed at what people will do if they think they can get away with it. Warped sense of morality for sure!

Thanks so much! Yes, it is amazing and some get away with it for a long time, but I believe that what goes around, comes around….eventually! 🙂

OH well done – as Ivy said and Clark seconded, right? What goes around comes around.

Isn’t it interesting so many of the Lie stories leave friends in a predicament that will probably mean the friendship will end. Clearly the liars don’t have a conscience your friend in the story clearly was more determined and found a solution.

Yes, and not everyone that has a solution will act on it and try to get things changed. A real friendship is people helping each other, however, that help is not always a pleasant thing….as in this case. Thanks so much for reading and commenting.

One is a thief and the other is a liar. I’m not sure this friendship will remain standing. Great story Jessie in only 6 sentences!

Thank you, Joy! Sometimes helping someone can be painful for each person. However, it may affect their life in a positive way, but not always immediately .

Very well accomplished, though quite what ‘friends’ they are, I don’t know. Seems they’d both be better off taking a long hard look at themselves!

Thank you! 🙂 That’s true..I guess it depends on the people and the situation.

This SSS leaves me wondering how their friendship developed and if there hadn’t been some signs of possible errant behaviors before this crime. Perhaps Rob was more of a friend to Max than it seems, in that Max turned himself in and had to face the consequences of his actions, but probably got a lesser sentence. That could be a turning point in his life, for the better. I’m not advocating telling a lie, but sometimes black and white gets a little blurry. Good SSS!

Yes, often times one major mistake can completely change your life and that change depends on what action you take. Hopefully, this helped Max in a positive way. Thank you for reading and commenting. 🙂
