SUDDEN SURPRISE

This is my 100 word submission for the challenge, Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers Challenge. We are given a prompt photo and approximately 75-175 words with which we use to create our stories. It is fun and challenging and everyone is invited to participate. For more information, check out this link.

 SUDDEN SURPRISE

Eric and Annie had finished shopping and decided it was time to return to the ship.

They walked toward the dock and suddenly, they were confronted by four men dressed in black and their face covered with a purple mask.

The men ushered them into a nearby building and locked them in a small empty room with no windows.

Minutes later, the men returned, put masks on them and took them to another room.

Eric and Annie entered the room, their mask removed, and a band began to play happy birthday to them  as family and friends sang.

It was Eric and Annie’s birthday and they were completely surprised by the turn of events!

  1. I bet they were worried until they found out it was a birthday party! A good build up of tension in this story Jessie with a fun twist at the end! Great story! And, as always, thank you for your participation. 🙂
