THE FIRE
The facts begun to trickle in regarding last week’s fire.
The man hurt is a keen and circumspect fireman, but he misjudged how quickly the bulge of rubble could turn into a huge bonfire. Now, he is in critical condition and he hangs suspended in a liminal space between life and death.
I got a glimpse of the man responsible for the fire. The bastard is actually a supplicant in the process of obtaining employment at the fire station. However, he sits in jail now wallowing in his own self-pity.

Very close to home on this write. Family of volunteer and professional firefighters.
And it is true some folks misjudge as well as play with ‘fire’.

Thank you for reading and commenting. I’m sorry to have hit a nerve on this for you. It is so sad for people to end up suffering for others mistakes.

Unfortunately it has been known to happen, potential or otherwise firefighters to set fires just to ‘go on a call’. No worries.
It is something all in the volunteer and compensated fire departments have to consider and live with.
