Sunday Photo Fiction – July 5th 2015

The idea of Sunday Photo Fiction is to write a piece whether it is a story or poetry using the image as inspiration. You don’t have to use the photo exactly as it is, any way the inspiration takes you, use that. Try to keep it around the 200 word mark.

Channel’s husband died in a car accident after she had gotten pregnant from a sperm bank donor.

When Samuel was three months old she applied for a job at the Waterfront Investigating Agency.  Bryce Waterfront hired her.

They worked together and eventually fell in love.  They spent weekends taking Samuel to parks, picnics, and various outings.

One evening Bryce prepared a special dinner, had the table beautifully decorated with candlelight, and turned on some easy listening music. He faced Channel, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him.  He told her that her words were his food, her breath his wine, and she had slipped under his skin, invaded his blood, and seized his heart forever!

The day they returned from their honeymoon, Bryce received the news he was looking for.

Investigation into the sperm donor of Channel’s child proved that he was the donor. He had given the donation the year his former wife got cancer so they could have their child after she recovered, but she was unable to recover and passed away .

Samuel was his and Channel’s child!
