Hello fellow writers, it is Thursday once again and that means it is time for Words to Write By! I will list 10 random words and it is your job to choose at least 5 of them to write a poem, a story, a journal entry or use them to inspire a piece of art or a photograph. Remember, you can use any form of the words, make them adjectives, adverbs, present tense, past tense, etc.
Lori’s words for us: ramble, preclude, canary yellow, gladiator, disengage, inure, doughty, triumphal, somberly, begone
Everyone on the bus had a somber face and seemed disengaged from the world.
It was thundering, lightening, and raining. The condition of the road precluded any attempt to drive the bus down the dirt road. It was full of pot holes and about three inches of rain had fallen.
They had to inure the conditions and come to the realization that their prized canary yellow bus would not be entering the annual bus rodeo this year.
Their plan of a triumphal success of winning the race five years in a row would not happen!
