This is in response to a weekly challenge hosted by Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers. The goal is to write a story between 100-150 (give or take 25 words) based on the provided photo.
This has been a continued mini-series. (This week concludes the series. I want to thank everyone that followed and I appreciate all the comments. I want to give John Yeo a special thanks for suggesting that ” I have a mini-series leading to at least one book.” After his comment on my first chapter, I decided to try writing my first mini-series. It has been a real pleasure writing this story and being able to share my thoughts with everyone.
I give a special thanks to Joy , hosting Flash Fictions For Aspiring Writers, and allowing the writing of this mini-series.

DeeGee had been rescued from the service supervisor’s apartment located in the stairwell area of the hotel. She had helped her with some luggage, gone back in the apartment to turn off the lights, the door shut and got jammed.
She spent her time reading a motivational book she found on the table. She had a feeling of comfort reading it, especially after she removed the painting of an old graveyard that was hanging on the wall. The book gave her a sense of being with Damon, but she couldn’t explain why.
Damon had written the book, but there was a different author’s name in it. He was a ghost writer and kept his identity hidden because of the militia.
It was apparent that Damon was deeply in love with DeeGee. His parents told him and Garnet that she had been adopted after they were kidnapped.
DeeGee’s love let him see normal things in an extraordinary way. He told her that his love for her was a journey, starting at forever, and ending never.

Such a sweet and beautiful ending Jessie. Love the last line! “Our love is a journey, beginning at forever and ending never.” You always have such romantic and sweet things to say for your characters.

Thank you so much! It wasn’t my intentions to make it a series but you made the comment on my first chapter about it sounding like it would make a good series. So I decided to try it….Thank you for that! I’m glad I gave it a try. 😃

Okay so was DeeGee Damon’s sister or not? Did he love her in a sisterly way or romantically? I’m all confused.

She was his sister, but had been adopted by his parents after he and Garnet were kidnapped. So, Damon and DeeGee were only sister and brother in name only….they were romantically in love , so had every right to marry if they chose to.
