The Meaning
Joanna had dreamed about Alexander. He was missing in action for over five weeks.
She was abruptly awoken by the sound of the clock outside her apartment window. She felt it meant something, but what, she did not know.
That morning she took a walk on the beach and sat on her and Alexander’s special rock..the A & J. She prayed for his safe return and felt an urgency to go back home.
Shortly after she returned, she received a telegram. She was faint, nervous, and trembled as she read the message with tears flowing from eyes like a waterfall!
The message…Rescued, coming home my darling Joanna. I need you like a heart needs a beat. There is only two times I want to be with you…Now and Forever.

Beautiful, oh what a happy ending, he was rescued! I can’t even begin to imagine what it would be like to have been Joanna and suffer through not knowing whether someone you love is still alive or not. Nice, thought-provoking story.
